Good news for Turkish seafarers! Danica has opened a new recruitment office in Istanbul, creating more opportunities for officers and ratings looking for their next contract.
Turkey has a strong maritime tradition, with tens of thousands of officers and ratings serving on vessels worldwide. Turkish maritime education is well respected internationally, and Turkish certificates are accepted by all major flag states under IMO and STCW regulations.
By opening a local office, Danica aims to provide closer support to Turkish crew, from application and screening through to placement and ongoing communication while at sea.
All candidates go through Danica’s established screening and selection process, ensuring fairness, transparency and high professional standards across all nationalities.
The Istanbul office is led by Hasan Koroglu, a former seafarer with extensive crewing experience, who understands first-hand the realities of life at sea and is available locally to support Turkish crew throughout the recruitment process.
